We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and experienced General Manager to lead our retail store operations. In this hands‑on role, you will be the face of the store—working the front counter, interacting with customers, and fostering a welcoming community vibe. Beyond day‑to‑day store operations, you will manage our retail staff, curate our beer, wine, and spirits inventory, build vendor relationships, and drive sales through creative promotional strategies.

• Work the Counter: Actively work the sales floor and front counter, providing exceptional service and building rapport with customers.
• Customer Interaction: Assist customers with product recommendations, answer inquiries, and ensure a memorable, welcoming shopping experience.
• Facility Oversight: Supervise store cleanliness, safety, physical building maintenance, and visual merchandising.

• Ordering & Purchasing: Responsible for purchasing all alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, spirits, and RTDs/mixers).
• Vendor Relations: Schedule, meet with, and build strong partnerships with distributors, sales reps, and local producers.
• Trend & Market Knowledge: Stay ahead of current industry trends (e.g., craft spirits, natural wines, regional beers, non‑alcoholic options) to keep inventory fresh and relevant.
• Stock & Margin Management: Monitor stock levels, manage shelf allocation, track product turns, and maintain healthy profit margins.

• Staff Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor a small, dedicated retail staff.
• Culture & Teamwork: Promote a positive, respectful, and upbeat working environment anchored in team accountability and customer courtesy.
• Promotional Strategy: Create and execute dynamic sales promotions, seasonal campaigns, and in‑store events/tastings.
• Community Engagement: Develop local marketing initiatives to grow our customer base and build brand loyalty.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in the retail or adult beverage industry (wine shop, craft beer store, liquor store, or beverage hospitality).
• Personality & Demeanor: Outgoing, proactive, and genuinely courteous with both customers and staff.
• Product Expertise: Deep familiarity with current adult beverage market trends, spirits, wine, and craft beer categories.
• Leadership & Organization: Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, manage inventory, and multitask effectively in a retail environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift/move heavy beverage cases (up to 40–50 lbs).
• Compliance: Must be of legal age to sell/handle alcohol and knowledgeable about state and local alcohol compliance laws.

• Salary: $[Range, e.g., 55,000 - 70,000/year] (Commensurate with experience)
