We are a wireless construction company based in Marlborough, MA, seeking a Journeyman Electrician who is licensed in MA; licensed in RI or NH is a plus. Candidate must be self-motivated, reliable and professional. Must be highly organized and detail oriented to work in this fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
Thayer Power and Communication is looking for a Aerial Fiber Foreman who will be responsible for performing and overseeing construction, maintenance and operation of overhead telecommunications. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented individual with attention to high level of quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise assigned electrical crew.
- Review project plans, specifications installation instructions to ensure the project is built according to the approved design specifications
- Organizing the schedule for the jobmaking sure the job stays on budget and on time
- Direct the activities of the crew, operator installer on the jobsite
- Conduct site safety assessments and identify all safety hazards on job site, participate in weekly safety meetings, properly fill out necessary documentation, record time for your crew, etc.
- Communicate with the Area Manager and /or VP of Telephone Division
- Ensure field maintenance on equipment is performed routinely
- Available on weekends and evenings for local call outs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must hold valid driver’s license, have clean driving record, and be able to travel in and throughout New England.
- Must be able to obtain MA DOT Medical Card.
- OSHA
30 Certification prior to start of employment; cost will be reimbursed. - Must complete online certifications in RF Safety Awareness Training, Haz Com Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens Safety within first week of hire; cost paid by company.
- Com-Train or equivalent certification is a plus (will train).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Must be comfortable climbing and working at heights up to 200’ feet.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
- Be able to climb poles and work from aerial buckets
