• Collaborate on cross-disciplined integrated product teams using agile software development techniques.
• Own the full lifecycle of product development: architecture, design, integration, test, and field support.
• Learn and apply the highest software engineering process maturity level recognized by the Software Engineering Institute.

• Experience in software engineering across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with C++ or Java software development.
• Strong communication in a collaborative team environment interfacing with engineering disciplines, program, and external stakeholders.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded programming, processor/board architecture and design.
• Working knowledge of Linux, VxWorks or other real‑time operating systems.
• Typical degree in STEM and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Active transferable Secret clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.

• Model‑driven development experience.
• Software integration on custom hardware.
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts (Use Cases, SysML diagrams).
• Agile lifecycle experience – Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test‑Driven Development.
• Dev Ops, Jenkins, and automated testing experience.
• Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object‑Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D) experience.
• Microservice architectures and containerized applications experience.

Salary range: $82,000 – $164,000 USD. The range provided is a good‑faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, and associated responsibilities, as well as candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
