Our Ground and Maritime Defense Radar Software department seeks a Radar Software Integration Engineer for the Radar Digital Product Line Software Integration team. This role involves integrating, testing, and troubleshooting advanced radar systems in a Continuous Development/Continuous Integration environment.

This position requires an active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship. The clearance type is DoD Secret. Ability to obtain an INTERIM clearance prior to the start date is required. The role is on‑site in Marlborough, MA.

What You Will Do
  • Perform software integration, testing, and troubleshooting for radar systems.
  • Execute and monitor automated tests and autonomously triage failures to identify problematic subsystems, writing effective trouble reports for SMEs.
  • Autonomously create and update automated analysis scripts, primarily in MATLAB, for improved efficacy and test coverage.
  • Enhance or modify system stimuli to exercise various system aspects.
  • Integrate new software functionality, create associated automated test stimuli and analysis to maintain baseline performance, and add instrumentation to collect software and system metrics continuously.
  • Independently collaborate with stakeholders and engineering disciplines to define integration and test objectives and resolve integration issues.
  • Take ownership of tasks and guide or mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Participate in Agile software engineering practices.
  • Document integration methodology, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws.
  • Experience in software integration and troubleshooting, preferably in real‑time systems or radar applications.
  • Experience with multiple code types and layered software (e.g., tactical code, automated analysis code, tooling code, test configuration code).
  • Experience with at least one high‑level programming language such as C++ or Java.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Interim Secret clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship required for clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience developing and testing radar/sensor systems, signal processing, or other real‑time systems.
  • Proficiency in multithreaded C++ software testing and debugging.
  • Professional experience creating or maintaining automated tests.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Linux shells.
  • Proficiency with Linux and the command‑line interface, editors, and built‑in functions.
  • Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git or Rational Clear Case.
  • Exposure to network communication protocols and DDS.
  • Familiarity with Grafana or Jenkins.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Dev Sec Ops  concepts/practice, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to triage and diagnose issues in complex systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to frame and communicate complex problems effectively.
  • Willingness and curiosity to approach unknowns, orient yourself, and attempt to resolve challenging problems autonomously.
