At Raytheon, our mission is to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. The Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department designs, develops, and supports land and sea‑based radar systems. As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer you will work to enhance the sustainability of our radar products, transition legacy radar hardware and software to modern technologies, and maintain, troubleshoot, and patch deployed systems.

Security RequirementsU.S. citizenship is required. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, obtainable after day 1.
What You Will Do- Support sustainment of legacy radar systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.
- Port legacy Unix and VxWorks software to modern Linux systems or identify replacements.
- Support software integration, testing, and verification.
- This 1st shift role is 100% onsite, based in Marlborough, MA.
- Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Embedded C/C++ and/or Ada software development experience.
- Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Clear Case.
- Experience in shell scripting (e.g., Bash or C Shell).
- Experience working with VME bus-based systems.
- Radar domain experience.

- Competitive salary: 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD (estimate for all experience levels).
