Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Worcester, MA offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly pay: $2,000 or more per week
• Hourly pay: $29.00 per hour
• 40+ hours per week, overtime pay after 40 hours
• Earn extra $1/hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
• $50 per diem per night
• Monday–Friday schedule (home time stability)
• $1,000 annual tenure bonus

• Regional solo routes:
  New England States and East Coast
• Paid travel with hotel or sleeper provided for overnights
• Tractor type: day cabs, sleepers, possibility of 26' straight truck
• Trailer type: 48'-53' flatbeds, dry vans, reefers, conestogas, curtain sides, and container
• Freight mix: touch & no-touch
• Equipment provided: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
• 1 year of flatbed experience required
• Hazmat, tanker & doubles/triples endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
• 80 hours PTO in first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)
• Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
