Job Summary:

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will accurately maintain, track, and report physical inventory. You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform all inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damage
* Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory control
* Research and identify quality control issues to minimize recurrence and ensure regulatory compliance
* Identify opportunities for improvement of all inventory functions and programs
* Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary
* Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies
* Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas
* Ensure pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storage
* Safely operate appropriate Material Handling Equipment after training
* Maintain all food safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Education - High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred
* Warehouse experience preferred
* Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferred
* Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment (MHE)
* basic math to ensure proper counts and verify pallet
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to operate various technology including computers and tablets
* Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends and holidays

Environmental Job

Conditions:

* Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
* Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
* Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis
* Ability to build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds
* Endurance for continuous, fast paced work
* Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as
