Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Marathon Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations for our clients. In this role, you will accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming materials; pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments; and maintain organized inventory records. You will operate basic material handling equipment, verify documentation such as packing slips and bills of lading, and coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and customer service on order status.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
• Document and record all received and shipped materials in inventory or warehouse systems
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders according to client and carrier requirements
• Label, palletize, and stage shipments for carrier pickup or internal transfer
• Operate pallet jacks or other basic material handling equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams on shipment status and issues
• Assist with cycle counts and basic inventory control tasks
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items promptly to supervisors
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
