General Description:

Goal:

The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians, bringing glory to God in all they do.

Overview:

The ideal candidate is a practicing Christian with a BA/BS degree who feels a strong calling from God to the teaching profession. Additional qualifications may be added by the Board as deemed appropriate.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and the standard for all faith and conduct
• Be a Christ-like role model in speech, attitude, and actions toward others (Luke 6:40)
• Be actively involved in a local, evangelical church in agreement with our Statement of Faith
• Guide and facilitate activities of the children, including: daily activities, field trips, recommending and arranging equipment and materials in the classroom;
• Teach classes as assigned following prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the administrator.
• Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
