Sylvan Learning Center in Marlton, NJ is looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to inspire students in grades 6th through 12th. Join a team that's committed to helping young learners build confidence, sharpen their skills, and reach their full academic potential. Our center is open the following days & times:
Monday - Thursday: 4pm-8pm Saturday: 9am-1:00pm.
- Deliver engaging, personalized English instruction to students in grades 6–12
- Assess student skill levels and tailor lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
- Provide instruction in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literary analysis
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
Communicate student performance and milestones to Center Director - Foster a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
- Support students with essay writing, test preparation, and critical thinking skills
- State or provincial teaching credentials
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience of minimum three (3) years preferred
- Strong knowledge of middle and high school English curriculum standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, motivating, and student-centered teaching approach
- Ability to work with diverse learners, including those with learning challenges
- Teaching certification a plus, but not required
- No lesson plans to make or papers to grade
- Fully prepared lesson plans and materials are provided
