My client is a fast-growing medical device company building a first-of-its-kind implantable therapy that's changing outcomes for heart failure patients worldwide. Their Product Development team is growing, and they're looking for an engineer who can move fluidly between hardware design and hands-on test, and help bring life-changing devices to market.

No C2C or third-party firms. Unable to sponsor employment visas now or in the future.

Why you should apply

  • Work on a proprietary, first-of-a-kind medical device therapy with direct patient impact
  • Own both sides of the bench: design new circuits and prove they work
  • Full coverage medical benefits, employee and family cost covered 100% by the company
  • Paid vacation, floating holidays, sick time, and paid holidays
  • 401k match up to 6%, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you'll be doing

  • Design analog and embedded electronic circuit assemblies for market-destined products and internal development tools
  • Capture schematics and layout printed circuit boards
  • Specify or develop firmware for testing and internal development tools
  • Assemble and bring up prototype circuit assemblies
  • Execute electrical test procedures and document results across all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Develop and update test procedures, test fixtures, forms, and reports
  • Assist in design, verification, and validation of automated electrical test systems
  • Test and document work to the standard needed for regulatory submission

About you

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • 2+ years in a hands-on electronics-related work environment (substantial academic research may be considered equivalent) or 4+ years in a hands-on R&D work environment (substantial academic research may be considered equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience in an electronics-related R&D or test environment (substantial academic research may be considered equivalent)
  • Comfortable using oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, and function generators
  • Able to solder and assemble electronic prototypes
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in electrical engineering or electrical and computer engineering, or equivalent work experience

Additional Information

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • At this time, we are unable to sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.
