We are recruiting for a Per-Diem Recreational Therapist to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in Marlton, NJ.

The Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist is an integral member of the Interdisciplinary Team, responsible for the assessment of play, recreation,leisure skills, and psychosocial adjustment to hospitalization, to facilitatetherapy, leisure education, and recreation participation for the pediatric(re) habilitation of children ages birth to 20 years of age. The CTRS is responsible for adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined bythe American Therapeutic Recreation Association.

The CTRSdemonstratesprofessional judgment, uses problem solving techniques and time-management principles to achieve quality outcomes for each patient.

They participate in patient and family teaching and work collaboratively with other disciplineson the interdisciplinary team to maintain optimal standards of patient care andassure carryover of treatment plans/goals as indicated.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Certification as aTherapeutic Recreation Specialist by NCTRC required.
• Dual-certified as Child Life Specialist preferred
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience working with children with disabilities or chronic illness.
• Ability to supervisegroups of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities in a safe manner.
• Pediatric experience in medical settings preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work wellas a team member
• 10.Rotating weekendschedule
