Overview
Job Summary:
Provide development and support of systems, function and logistical operation. Provide technical expertise to all levels of users on software system, required and related to all functions.
- Responsible for maintaining the relationships between applications and data bases. Works closely with the IS department where necessary to ensure servers and interfaces are running properly. Demonstrates or has the ability to have oversight, understanding and proficiency to work in required software, hardware, and appropriate databases, including the integration of Systems.
- Provides functional support regarding technology features and reporting as well as facilitates the introduction of new/updated automated technologies i.e. software/hardware upgrades and installation of service packs as required. Works independently and supports organization and departmental policies, programs, guidelines and procedures related to the function, hardware, software and other related systems.
- Generates monthly and ad hoc reports for supported. Use reports and queries to analyze issues and make recommendations for improvements to specific systems, hardware and/or equipment.
- Creates training material and provides education and training on all applications individually geared to the varying level and experience of the trainee. Works with customers when troubleshooting problems and ensures a successful resolution.
- Acts as an active member of any project team. Communicate with appropriate members of the project, following through on problem resolution as assigned.
- RL Datix or occurrence reporting software experience a plus.
- Healthcare IT experience a plus.
- Training, routine maintenance, and document development a plus.
- Local onsite meeting requirements.
- Required Experience:
3-5 years progressively responsible experience in a healthcare field or IT software related field. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills are essential. Knowledge of accepted systems, operating platforms, application software (network software technology and software), or operating system is a plus. In depth knowledge of automated spreadsheets, word processing, databases and statistical analysis, Windows-based environment and PC skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Information Services is required.
