Summary
Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence‑based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, coordinates patient care, collaborates extensively with team members, patients and/or family or significant other(s), and maintains high standards of professional ethics.
Schedule- 7 days on and 7 days off
- Shift: 5 p.m.–8 a.m.
- Every other weekend
- $5 per hour on‑call rate plus hourly rate
- Perform an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care.
- Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations.
- Participate in clinical decision‑making.
- Educate patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
- Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
- Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
- Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.
- Must have a valid New Jersey RN license; licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
- Continuously improve skills and stay abreast of current nursing practice through ongoing education and journals.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Be able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
- Refer to the Educational/Regulatory Requirement (Department Specific) policy in the Nursing Administrative Manual.
$56.17 per hour (plus $5 per hour on‑call rate).
