Burns Buick GMC & Hyundai is seeking a Lot Attendant.
Job Responsibilities- Manage the dealership lot: cleanup, traffic movement, organization, vehicle display, tagging vehicles with disclaimers and keys.
- Perform duties related to the sale and upkeep of vehicles, and oversee inventory by:
- Receiving and verifying inbound vehicles against invoice.
- Inspecting vehicles for damage and confirming accessories per invoice/addendum.
- Recording damages and missing items on the delivery receipt.
- Comparing serial numbers against invoice.
- Assigning stock control numbers to cars.
- Cataloging and inputting keys into the One Micro key system.
- Ensuring inventory is fueled, charged, cleaned, presentable, and displays window stickers, buyers guide, and vehicle information.
- Maintaining stocking levels; keeping duplicates on the satellite lot to ensure all vehicles are represented on the dealership lot.
- Conducting daily lot walks; checking front‑line vehicles for branded tag frames, plate inserts, and decals.
- Managing wholesale units, including use of a weekly log.
- Assisting the sales team during busy times by delivering sold vehicles to the new‑vehicle preparation/detail center.
- Ensuring inventory and trade‑in vehicles are promptly moved out of customer parking areas.
- Parking new, pre‑owned, trade‑in, and wholesale vehicles in assigned areas.
- Moving sold vehicles to maximize space usage and keep the lot in order.
- Picking up vehicles from storage and delivering them to storage and other locations.
- Maintaining and organizing vehicle inventory.
- Delivering vehicles when instructed.
- Assisting with dealer trades.
- Delivering ongoing quality assurance for on‑lot vehicles.
- Assisting with weather‑related tasks when necessary, including snow prep and removal.
- Carrying out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management due to operational needs.
- Positive attitude and team mentality.
- High level of organization, with attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to actively listen and take direction; work independently, take initiative, multitask, and problem‑solve.
- Proficiency in dealership inventory software, or ability to learn it.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
- Ability to read and comprehend directions.
- Ability to work outdoors, stand for extended periods, and use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays if requested.
