POSITIONSUMMARY
The Accountant II should have an exceptional level of expertise in planning and related processes and be capable of evaluating data and recommending/implementing solutions, supporting and developing systems and conducting financial accounting. They may manage/carry out responsibilities in some, or all of the areas outlined below and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Works with finance staff to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Examine and maintain accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Perform month and year end close out activities including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, performing expense variance analysis, and preparing month end financial reporting
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation to external auditors and tax preparers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of such requests.
- Collaborates with the Cost Accountant and various functional departments to maintain the product costing system.
- Collaborate with users from all areas and levels of the business to support decision and change management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures. and GAAP.
- Provide regular verbal and written project communications/updates of status and issues. Coordinates activities across vendor, end user and internal resources to achieve deliverables as defined in project plans

- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
