Description
A Warranty Administrator manages the full life cycle of product warranty claims, acting as the liaison between customers, service departments, and manufacturers to ensure proper documentation, submission, and reimbursement. Key responsibilities include verifying coverage, processing claims, tracking repair orders, and maintaining compliance with manufacturer policies to maximize dealership or company revenue. This is a non exempt position reporting to the Warranty Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Accurately review, process, and submit warranty claims to manufacturers in compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of all warranty work, including parts, labor, and claim status.
- Verify warranty coverage for customers and explain terms and conditions.
- Track claims through to resolution, including re‐submitting denied claims to secure payment.
- Track and order necessary warranty parts, and manage the return of defective parts.
- Coordinate with service advisors, technicians, and manufacturers to resolve issues.
- Stay updated on manufacturer policies, bulletins, and recalls.
- Travel between other location as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college level coursework a plus
- Previous experience in warranty administration, service writing, or a similar role is required
- High level of accuracy for documentation and data entry.
- Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of product mechanics or technical specifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid State of Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- Dependable and reliable attendance is required.
