The Materials Analyst is responsible for overseeing the materials function and coordinating efforts across Production Control, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control to develop and maintain an efficient, cost-effective system. This role supports production and sales goals while minimizing freight costs and inventory days on hand.

• Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and material acquisition.
• Optimize freight and inventory management.
• Implement production scheduling, logistics, and inventory control processes to ensure the availability of materials for continuous production in line with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimal inventories.
• Recruit, motivate, train, and develop a competent materials handling team.
• Identify and resolve issues through short-term and long-term corrective actions.
• Assist with warehouse layout planning and execution.
• Conduct daily checks to verify proper storage of materials.
• Manage economical inbound and outbound transportation routes, seeking opportunities for shipment consolidation, milk runs, and warehouse distribution.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Required Qualifications: 1-3 years of relevant experience. Automotive industry experience is preferred. Ability and willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, which may involve climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the automotive industry

• Experience with QAD software
