Required Skills:

• Active MI medical license
• Proven experience in gastroenterology procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, PEG/PEG-J tube placement, ERCP/EUS (preferred), pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, hydrogen breath testing, capsule endoscopy
• Proficiency in Cerner, gGastro, Athena platforms
• Ability to independently manage a high patient volume (~12 patients/day)
• Strong charting and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills for patient follow-up and team coordination

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with complex endoscopic procedures such as ERCP or EUS
• Familiarity with hospital procedures and workflows
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without scribe support

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine with specialization in Gastroenterology
• Minimum 3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience in a high-volume gastroenterology unit

Other Requirements:

• Availability for full block coverage from March 25, 2026, through December 14, 2026
• Willingness to work 9-hour weekdays with scheduled 15-hour call shifts and weekend call duties
• Responsibility for all charting and follow-up communications with patients
• Immediate credentialing and billing enrollment completion required prior to start date
• No assistance or scribe support during procedures or charting
