This position provides a challenging and rewarding environment where you will handle diverse gastrointestinal procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J tube placements, ERCP, and EUS. You will be responsible for complete patient charting, communicating results to patients, and coordinating follow-up care without assistance. Full availability for all specified dates is required, and the position involves full block coverage.
Required Skills:
- MI medical license with active Gastroenterology credentials
- Proven proficiency in procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, PEG placements, and capsule endoscopy
- Strong charting and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and team coordination capabilities
- Ability to perform independently without scribe support
Skills:
- Experience with Cerner, gGastro, Athena systems
- Familiarity with hydrogen breath testing, Propofol administration, and capsule endoscopy
- Previous experience in a busy hospital-based Endo unit
- Knowledge of workflow optimization in high-volume settings
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital environment
- Must be licensed and credentialed in Michigan
- Availability for full coverage of assigned dates
- Ability to manage overnight call shifts and weekend coverage
- No scribe support; full charting responsibilities
- Immediate credentialing application and billing enrollment completion required
- Hourly pay rate of $1.00
