Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, with a few exceptions based on MSPERS retirement program. All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC. Position Title:
Agriculture – Adjunct Faculty – Continuous Applicant Pool
Using technology‑enhanced instruction, the adjunct faculty supports the college’s mission by delivering agriculture‑related courses and curricula.
Essential Functions- Teach assigned agriculture classes such as agribusiness, fruit and vegetable production, sustainability, viticulture, and soil science.
- Provide academic advising in collaboration with Student Services staff.
- Maintain academic excellence and grading standards.
- Prepare and distribute course syllabi/outlines.
- Monitor and support student progress.
- Maintain accurate academic records.
- Submit final grades online.
- Other duties as assigned.
Operating under the Department Chair’s guidance, adjunct faculty must meet all educational, administrative, and fiscal expectations.
Job Specifications- Associate’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
Hiring Range: $61 per contact hour
