Join us in pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.

Our inspiring and caring environment forms a global community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions.

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Molecular Imaging (MI) division, where you’ll play a key role in designing and optimizing SPECT and hybrid imaging systems. These advanced technologies enable earlier diagnosis, more precise staging, and improved therapy planning for patients around the world. As part of the MI team, you will work at the intersection of hardware, software, and clinical innovation, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technology, complex systems integration, and meaningful real-world healthcare impact.

Your growth and development in this role will be tailored to follow a technical and/or leadership path aligned with your skills, interests, and ambitions. Whether your strengths lie in system architecture, validation leadership, or cross-functional project execution, the division provides ample opportunity to learn, lead, and make meaningful contributions in a fast-evolving space.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional looking to apply their unique expertise to engineer high-tech products as part of a highly collaborative and talented team. You’ll be contributing directly to the development of advanced diagnostic imaging technologies that are transforming the way clinicians detect and treat disease—particularly in oncology, cardiology, and neurology.

You are responsible for:

  • Developing and supporting embedded software subsystems for SPECT Molecular Imaging cameras, focusing on motion control, safety, and detector signal chain systems.

  • Documenting requirements, architecture, and design specifications.

  • Participating in work estimation, planning, scheduling, and execution as part of an Agile scrum team.

  • Ensuring conformance to and tracing of safety requirements and protocols.

  • Conducting unit testing and supporting integration of software deliverables into the product line.

  • Investigating issues reported by internal and external customers in both laboratory and field environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development

  • Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ or C#

  • Experience with Agile development in collaborative team environments

  • Hands-on experience with low-level software/hardware interfaces, including drivers, host emulation, log analysis, CAN sniffers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers

  • Expertise in Linux internals including kernel, drivers, and application-level development

  • Experience with SoC platforms (e.g., AMD Zynq Ultrascale+ with 64-bit processors)

  • Familiarity with motion control systems, safety protocols, and failsafe error handling

  • Proven ability to collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams

  • Understanding of radiation safety and medical imaging equipment operation

  • Strong focus on quality, process adherence, and defect resolution

  • Experience operating safely and effectively in lab environments, including system-level testing and debugging
