What you will lead- Develop and optimize micro injection molding processes for ultra‑small precision components
- Ensure new designs are manufacturable at scale and support smooth transitions into production
- Improve repeatability, stability, and yield for extremely small shot sizes
- Serve as the in‑house subject matter expert for micro molding processes and equipment
- Support the onboarding of new programs as capabilities expand
Collaborate closely with tooling engineers on micro tooling and small‑cavity mold design - Guide future molding capacity expansion as new presses and technologies are introduced
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and program teams
Must‑have experience
- Micro injection molding experience in a production environment
- Background in regulated or high‑precision manufacturing
- Hands‑on processing expertise with advanced polymers
- Strong troubleshooting, process development, and optimization skills
- Understanding of micro tooling and small‑cavity mold design principles
- Experience with small or highly precise components
- Manufacturing or process engineering background
- Familiarity with small‑tonnage molding environments
- Direct influence on next‑generation medical technology
- A team that emphasizes work‑life balance and minimal off‑hour disruptions
- A collaborative environment with quick decision‑making and no unnecessary red tape

The company is flexible on title based on experience:
Plastics Engineer, Micro Molding Engineer, Senior Engineer, etc. They are open to earlier‑career engineers with strong micro molding skills and will also consider highly experienced specialists. Compensation is flexible for the right individual.
Target compensation: 120,000 to 170,000 depending on experience, flexible with a desire to get the right molding engineer onsite.
