Your role at GEI
GEI is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform a broad range of construction engineering technician inspection and testing duties on both short and long‑term projects in various locations.
Candidates will support a broader construction services team in performing construction inspection activities on a variety of municipal, commercial, industrial and federal projects to document that the construction activities performed by others are consistent with project specifications and drawings.
Candidates will also provide materials testing and data collection for all types of construction projects, including foundation subgrade testing, soil density testing, field testing of concrete, and laboratory testing of soil and concrete materials.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma required; AS degree in Engineering Technology, BS in Construction Management, or related field highly preferred.
- Previous experience in construction inspection and testing, with experience in soils, concrete, and bituminous paving.
- Previously certified from ACI in soil or concrete testing, and State of Michigan certification highly desired or the ability to obtain certifications.
- Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and a valid driver’s license are required.
