HSE Manager

A high-volume manufacturing facility in Frasier, MI is seeking an experienced and highly engaged Plant HSE Manager to lead all Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives. This plant services multiple customers and operates in a complex, fast‑paced environment. This role requires a hands‑on leader who is deeply committed to safety, environmental compliance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate thrives in a union environment, excels at cross‑functional collaboration, and brings strong auditing and ISO experience.

Full Relocation package is available.

Salary: $90 - $140K DOE plus Bonus.

• Bachelor’s degree required (HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field)
• Certified Auditor strongly preferred
• Experience working under ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 frameworks is required – Certified Auditor strongly preferred
• 5+ years of HSE experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Experience working in a union plant preferred
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, environmental regulations, and safety standards
• Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, manage compliance programs, and lead corrective action processes
• Proactive, rigorous, assertive, and capable of influencing at all levels of the organization

• Lead all site Environmental, Health, and Safety (HSE) programs for a major unionized manufacturing plant
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 4500 standards
• Provide HSE support and input during new program launches, ensuring all environmental and safety requirements are integrated into planning
• Conduct site HSE compliance assessments and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow‑up
• Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators (KPIs)
• Lead and deliver HSE training for employees at all levels
• Work closely with the North America HSE Director, who oversees both U.S. and Mexico operations, and maintains high expectations for engagement and performance
• Oversee the onsite Security Team and manage coordination with the contracted security company
