In this role, you will provide leadership to your department and implement policies and procedures that allow for efficient communication and activity within the School of EMT, between departments, and with external agencies.

Acting in collaboration with other departments will be integral as you develop strategies to enhance staff development and the patient experience. Operational awareness is important as you monitor and analyze financial performance and policy effectiveness within your department.

The role involves leadership of the department, implementation of policies and procedures, and collaboration with other departments and external agencies to ensure efficient communication and activity. Required Skills

• Moderate physical effort may be required including lifting 25 pounds or more, prolonged standing and walking, and manual dexterity.

Minimum Education /

Experience:

• Paramedic I/C License
• Bachelor’s Degree in health or educational field - OR - completion of Bachelor’s Degree in health or education related field within two years of hire or transfer.
• 5 years clinical experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• 3 years experience in adult education

Required Registration

• Current State of Michigan license as Paramedic I/C
• Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider Certification
• ACLS and PALS
