Registered Sonographer (RDMS)

1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week, varied shifts.

This position is a MAST Union Role.

This position is eligible for a $7,500 sign‑on bonus based on eligibility.

A Sonographer who excels in this role:

• Utilizes high‑frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images.
• Performs ultrasound procedures and tasks.
• Calibrates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound and peripheral equipment.
• Assesses and prepares patients of all ages for examinations and explains the procedure to patient and/or family while performing the examination.
• Provides basic patient care and comfort:
  Maintains infection control and universal precautions as it relates to patient care and equipment.
• Maintains order, cleanliness, and supplies in rooms.

• Registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound (RDMS)
• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree required; graduate of an approved program of ultrasound/sonography or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
• One year as sonographer (preferred)
