This position must be done in house; there are no remote work opportunities.
Paid training will be provided for anyone willing to learn.
The Successful Candidate: Ideal candidate is a freshman or sophomore in college who can dedicate at least 15-25 hours during the semester and work full-time-ish in the summer. We are looking for a long-term member to join our team. If you apply as an internship, career advancements will likely be available at the end of your internship. If you are hired as an employee, we are looking for someone who can commit to several years with us.
Technical and Operational Scope: The candidate will work with Windows and Linux environments, learn to maintain server infrastructure, and master installation, setup, and troubleshooting of radio industry software and tools—from production tools like Adobe Audition to various radio production, scheduling, trafficking, RDS, and streaming servers and tools.
Disaster Recovery and Compliance: The successful candidate will have the ability to complete preventive, ongoing, and disaster recovery, backup, documentation and reports. This role requires strong system, data protection, recovery skills and a foundational understanding of networking infrastructure with the expectation to learn more about each system.
Security and Infrastructure: Configure, maintain, update, upgrade, repair and recover from incidents related to desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, mobile devices, networks and networking tools. Setup, configure, secure, backup, recover, restore, and maintain FTP, Web (IIS/Apache), databases (MS SQL and MySQL), email servers, streaming servers, and audio archive servers. A variety of cloud-based systems will also be part of the IT infrastructure.

Duties include installation and maintenance of computers, drivers, upgrades, software, system updates, networking and peripheral equipment, and associated operational documentation. Work follows policies and procedures with attention to protection of systems from infection, infiltration, hacking and data loss.
Additional typical tasks include packaging/un-packaging, inventory maintenance, assembling computer systems, back-up/restore of user data, installing standard software, and troubleshooting network connections.
Over time, responsibility extends to installation, maintenance, securing, monitoring and repairs to servers, workstations, printers and monitors. Command line scripting and batch scripts may be used; scheduling scripts can be a regular part of the job.
