Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Supports manufacturing in the implementation of the Magna Production System (MPS). Involved in projects aimed at waste elimination/production efficiencies and establishment of model MPS areas in conjunction with manufacturing sites. Subject matter may include plant floor layout, material-handling routes, service parts, and key future launches. Serves as an advisor to assist and train others on concepts and processes. May lead employee classes related to MPS including, but not limited to, job instruction, standardized work, Just-In-Time, five-step housekeeping processes (5S), and Kaizen.
Facilitates continuous improvement project teams to continuously improve processes and give support to areas within the organization. Based upon team/management requests, helps employees through workshops designed to improve work processes to reduce cycle time, inventory, labor hours, scrap, etc. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and other current techniques related to manufacturing and 3-4 years automotive manufacturing experience.
• Supports manufacturing in the implementation of the Magna Production System (MPS). Involved in projects aimed at waste elimination/production efficiencies and establishment of model MPS areas in conjunction with manufacturing sites. Subject matter may include plant floor layout, material-handling routes, service parts, and key future launches.
• Serves as an advisor to assist and train others on MPS concepts and processes. May lead employee classes related to DPS including, but not limited to, job instruction, standardized work, 5S.
• Facilitates continuous improvement project teams to continuously improve processes and give support to areas within the organization. Based upon team/management requests, leads employees through workshops designed to improve work processes to reduce cycle time, inventory, labor hours, scrap, etc.
• Knowledge and Experience in the following: of problem-solving tools. A3, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram & etc, CAD Software & Microsoft Office Tools
