Mount Manufacturing is expanding — and we’re looking for experienced CNC Swiss-Lathe Setup Machinists to join our team in Marquette, Michigan.

This is a hands‑on setup role for a skilled Swiss machinist who can independently prepare machines, solve problems, and produce highly precise medical‑device components. You will work with excellent equipment in a bright, clean, air‑conditioned facility where quality and craftsmanship matter.
WHAT WE OFFER.- $26.00 – $38.00 per hour starting pay.
- PLUS $5,000 sign-on bonus
. - PLUS relocation and housing assistance. Relocation assistance if needed. In addition, we will provide 3 months housing assistance (or direct reimbursement) giving you time to find a place to live and use for a security deposit, first month’s rent, or realtor help.

- Day shift
: 7am – 3:30pm (Monday – Friday) - Afternoon shift
: 3:15pm – 1:30am (Monday – Thursday)
PLUS a 15% pay increase
- Independently set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC Swiss lathes with sliding headstocks.
- Install and adjust tooling, offsets, work holding, and high- and low-pressure coolant lines.
- Use conventional Swiss-machining methods to produce complex, tight-tolerance parts.
- Make approved program adjustments, including deburring passes, operation-sequence changes, and speed or feed changes.
- Read engineering prints and apply GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Perform and document in-process inspections using good documentation practices.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, support coworkers, and mentor less-experienced operators.
- Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive, team-focused company culture.
- Act as a leader and mentor to new operators learning CNC machining.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience setting up CNC Swiss lathes (ideally in a precision‑manufacturing environment) is required; 3 or more years’ experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to complete setups, select and install tooling, establish offsets, and troubleshoot machining problems.
- Strong print‑reading, measurement, inspection, and GD&T skills.
- A dependable, team‑focused approach and a commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
- Medical‑device manufacturing experience or familiarity with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485:2016 is helpful, but not required.
- Experience with related processes such as CNC milling or turning, laser marking, passivation, anodizing, heat treatment, or forming is a plus.
