Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Unit Overview:
I5 patients - Early heart failure. General Cardiology patients with everything from chest pain to arrythmias. We have patients going for testing, ablations, stints, length of stay 3-5 days, quick turnaround for them. You will gain experience with progressive drips. All telemetry monitored by nurses who will be trained by HFHS.
This department is a great department to help a nurse with a future plan of working in ICU but not quite ready to go into an ICU setting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
