Position Overview
This employee performs a full range of practical nurse assignments and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times. The role is located 100% within the secure perimeter of a Correctional Facility.
Responsibilities- Perform practical nurse assignments.
- Follow proper methods and procedures for nursing care.
- Work under Registered Nurse supervision.
- Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
- No specific type or amount of experience required.
- The Department of Corrections may screen out applicants convicted of a felony; applicants must have satisfactorily completed any sentence, including parole or probation.
- Employees are required to adhere to high ethical standards and disclose any possible conflict of interest.
