5 x 12-hour shifts, Nights (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends and Holidays

In our Observation Unit, you’ll play a key role in monitoring patients, supporting timely clinical decisions, and helping guide them safely to the next step in their care—whether that’s admission or discharge. Howyou’ll contribute
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Work closely with providers to ensure patients meet observation criteria. Monitor patients for a period of 24‑48 hours to assess their condition and determine if they need to be admitted as an inpatient or discharged.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
