Schedule: 6 x 12-hour day shifts, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., rotating weekends and holidays
Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 (available to well-qualified applicants)
Job OverviewJoin UP Health System - Marquette as an ED RN, providing unscheduled outpatient services to patients requiring immediate care. The ED is staffed 24/7/365, offering a variety of tasks, learning opportunities, and a teamwork‑oriented environment. One to two years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities- Plan and intervene in patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
- Document patient care provided.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Identify learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

Applicants must have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
- Handle with Care – Advanced (within 90 days)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)
