Registered Nurse (RN) Manager – Neuro/Ortho/Peds (Full-Time)

UP Health System – Marquette, Michigan

As a Clinical Manager (RN) you will oversee a 24-bed specialty medical/surgical unit serving neuro, orthopedic, and pediatric patients. You will work with staff, physicians, and other departments to provide quality acute care while promoting safety.

• Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives supporting the organization’s strategic plan.
• Manage staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagement.
• Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.
• Determine and justify needs for systems, equipment, and supplies; monitor usage and ensure proper working order.
• Assess quality of patient care, coordinate services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments; provide patient care as needed.
• Create an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

• State of Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred).
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP).
• Pediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (PACLS) within 1 year.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 1 year.
• Two (2) years nursing experience.
• Seven (7) years managerial experience (preferred).
