- Receive patient scheduling information from physician offices and electronically adjust the schedule, ensuring accuracy and appropriate time allotment for procedures.
- Arrange schedules to ensure timely patient flow through the perioperative period.
- Keep the schedule updated with add‑ons and cancellations.
- Communicate with anesthesia regarding coverage and concerns.
- Communicate any special needs for procedures or concerns regarding patient care to manager/director or charge RN.
- Maintain the calendar and update it with physician vacations and department changes.
- Maintain the department call schedule for the contact center.
- Call every patient prior to the procedure to confirm appointment, provide directions and give patient arrival time.

- Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
Associate’s Degree preferred. - Preferred Minimum
Work Experience:
2 years of medical office experience.
