• Receive patient scheduling information from physician offices and electronically adjust the schedule, ensuring accuracy and appropriate time allotment for procedures.
• Arrange schedules to ensure timely patient flow through the perioperative period.
• Keep the schedule updated with add‑ons and cancellations.
• Communicate with anesthesia regarding coverage and concerns.
• Communicate any special needs for procedures or concerns regarding patient care to manager/director or charge RN.
• Maintain the calendar and update it with physician vacations and department changes.
• Maintain the department call schedule for the contact center.
• Call every patient prior to the procedure to confirm appointment, provide directions and give patient arrival time.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Preferred Minimum
  
  Work Experience:
  
  2 years of medical office experience.
