Travel RN - Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an acute Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care with minimal supervision
- Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR
- Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 while managing a stressful, fast-paced environment
- Float occasionally to like units as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and exercise appropriate clinical judgment independently
- Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Work at a regional specialty care hospital offering a broad scope of services including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Behavioral Health, and more - providing rich clinical exposure
