- Provide clinical care for neonates in a Level III NICU setting
- Manage common NICU diagnoses including respiratory distress syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, pneumothorax, sepsis, seizures, and stabilize cases for transport when needed
- Support care for VLBW infants, NAS, and other high-acuity newborn presentations
- Perform/participate in neonatal procedures and bedside interventions as credentialed (e.g., intubation, chest tubes, central line placement, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, and thermal cooling)
- Support advanced respiratory management, including ventilator management (including oscillators and iNO)
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including RN/RT support and available pediatric subspecialty consultations
- Use the facility EHR (Cerner) to document and coordinate ongoing patient care
- NRP certification
- Board certification in Neonatology preferred / Board eligible (as indicated)
- Experience managing neonatal critical care patients in a NICU environment
- Skills with neonatal airway/critical care and procedures (including those listed in the posting) as credentialed
- Board certification in Neonatology
This opportunity is with a long-standing NICU within a hospital in Marquette, Michigan. The NICU team works closely together, with experienced RN staff and RT support for conventional ventilators, oscillators, iNO, CPAP, and high-flow cannulas. The area offers a high quality of life with easy access to outdoor activities on the Southern shores of Lake Superior.
