Registered Nurse (RN) Manager – Med Surg Unit

Full‑time (0.8 FTE), 8‑hour shifts, mid‑shift (evenings). $10,000 sign‑on bonus available (based on meeting eligibility requirements). Position located in a 54‑bed acute medical and surgical unit (3 wings with 18 beds each) in UP Health System – Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health.

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Assess learning needs of patients/families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for physical and emotional well‑being of patients.

• Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP).
• Two years nursing experience.
• Seven years managerial experience (preferred).

Fast‑paced acute care unit with continuous admissions and discharges; supported by care aides.
