Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical Unit
Job Type: Full-Time – 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period).
Schedule:
6 x 12‑hour shifts, Nights (7p.m.–7a.m.), rotating weekends and holidays. Sign‑on bonus up to $7,500 for qualified applicants.
54‑bed acute Medical and Surgical unit with 3 wings (18 beds each). Supported by care aides. Wide variety of patient conditions and interventions. Fast‑paced unit with constant admissions and discharges.
How You’ll Contribute- Plan and intervene in patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document the care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Current Michigan RN license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP) – required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
