Overview
Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Unit – Full-Time (0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period) with varied night/day shifts.
Schedule:
6 x 12-hour shifts (7p–7a), rotating weekends and holidays. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available to qualified applicants.

The Cardiac Department has 36 beds with a patient population including Cardiac and CVA cases. Post‑op day 1–2 CABG, pacemaker patients, bradycardia, tachycardia, SVT, AFIB with RVR or new AFib, acute MI, PCI patients, Fem/Fem bypass, CEAs, and more. The unit also accepts step-down (IMCU) patients. Nurses are exposed to higher-acuity patients, providing a bridge to ED and ICU teams.
Responsibilities- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families as appropriate.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
- Assesses learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
Additional Requirements- Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS-HCP)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
- IMCU cross-training within 1 year
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year
