Registered Nurse (RN), Neuro/Ortho/Peds Unit

Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period

Schedule:

6 x 12‑hour Night Shifts, 7 p‑7 a, Rotating Weekends and Holidays

$7,500 Sign‑On Bonus available to qualified applicants

NOP is a 24‑bed specialty med/surg unit that cares for neuro, ortho, and pediatric patients with scheduled procedures, trauma events, and acute conditions. The team is experienced, supportive, and known for collaborative teamwork.

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)
