American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level II Trauma hospital in Marquette, MI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active MI RN license.

• Acute Medical/Surgical unit on the 6th floor of a 225-bed specialty care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18+)
• Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement (every other weekend)
• Occasional floating to like units
• Equipment includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• EMR:
  Cerner

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• 13-week contract
• Orientation is conducted bi-weekly
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required;
  Navy is also acceptable
• Fingernails must be kept clean and not excessive in length per Hand Hygiene Policy; excessive jewelry is not permitted; potentially offensive tattoos must be covered
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Hospital specialties include Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics
• Located in Marquette, MI — the largest community on Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to Northern Michigan University
