Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, PACU

Job Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE or 80 hours/pp | Exempt/Salaried

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Days M-F

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 available to qualified applicants

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with developing specific department goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations, including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management; oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations; determines and justifies needs for system, equipment, and supply purchases and monitors usage.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments; may provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Requirements:

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year.
• 2 years of nursing experience.
• 7 years of managerial experience (preferred).
