about our team
ED provides unscheduled outpatient services to patients whose condition requires immediate care. ED is staffed 24/6/365. ED provides meaningful work with a wide variety of tasks. There are lots of learning opportunities, a teamwork-oriented environment and plenty of excitement. Change is constant and it can often be emotionally taxing and stressful.
One to two years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience is preferred.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school (master's preferred).

- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Handle with Care
- Advanced (within 90 days) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)
