Start Date: 08/05/2026
Duration: Ongoing, with 10-14 days per month
Shift: 6 am – 6 pm in facility, 6 pm – 6 am on-call (24-hour coverage)
Hours/Week: Variable based on schedule
Employment Type: Contract
License/Certifications: Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in Neonatology, NRP certified
Experience: Preferred with skills in intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusions, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO

What You’ll Do

Provide specialized neonatal care for infants in the Level III NICU, including respiratory management and stabilization
Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line placement
Oversee ventilator management, including oscillators and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
Assist with complex cases like sepsis, pulmonary hypertension, and VLBW infants
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including neonatologists, nurses, RTs, and specialists
Support neonatal stabilization for transport to tertiary centers as needed
Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EHR system

What You Need

Valid Michigan license or eligibility
Certification in neonatal or pediatric nursing/advanced practice
Experience in neonatal intensive care preferred
Skilled in neonatal procedures and ventilator management
Strong clinical skills and ability to work within a cohesive team
Ability to handle high-acuity cases confidently
