  • Duration: Ongoing, with 10-14 days per month
  • Shift: 6 am – 6 pm in facility, 6 pm – 6 am on-call (24-hour coverage)
  • Hours/Week: Variable based on schedule
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • License/Certifications: Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in Neonatology, NRP certified
  • Experience: Preferred with skills in intubation, chest tube placement, central lines, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusions, thermal cooling, ventilator management including oscillators and iNO

What You’ll Do
  • Provide specialized neonatal care for infants in the Level III NICU, including respiratory management and stabilization
  • Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line placement
  • Oversee ventilator management, including oscillators and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
  • Assist with complex cases like sepsis, pulmonary hypertension, and VLBW infants
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including neonatologists, nurses, RTs, and specialists
  • Support neonatal stabilization for transport to tertiary centers as needed
  • Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EHR system
What You Need
  • Valid Michigan license or eligibility
  • Certification in neonatal or pediatric nursing/advanced practice
  • Experience in neonatal intensive care preferred
  • Skilled in neonatal procedures and ventilator management
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work within a cohesive team
  • Ability to handle high-acuity cases confidently
