This is a senior growth role with a well-established U.S.
-based injection molding and contract manufacturing company. The role is focused on building new business, expanding into new markets, and selling manufacturing capability as a service (contract injection molding). This is not an account management role and not an order-taking position.
The company is looking for a sales leader who can build pipeline from the ground up and own opportunities from first conversation through production launch. The business has deep injection molding and engineering capability already in place. The focus now is expanding beyond legacy markets into new and emerging segments such as material handling and infrastructure. This role exists because the company is evolving how it sells and how it grows.
Responsibilities- Build new business pipeline for plastic injection contract molding
- Prospect into new and emerging markets
- Sell custom contract manufacturing services rather than catalog products
- Develop territory strategies and target account plans
- Use CRM and modern sales tools consistently
- Develop proposals, pricing, and negotiate long-term contracts
- Attend trade shows and industry events
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Own opportunities end to end from first contact through launch
- Proven hunter with experience building a book of business
- Experience selling services or complex manufacturing solutions
- Injection molding experience strongly preferred
- Experience owning long, multi-step sales cycles
- Strong CRM discipline and process orientation
- Willing to travel and sell face to face
- Typically 8–15 years of relevant experience
- Contract manufacturing or custom fabrication
- Plastics processing or polymer-related businesses
- Tooling, mold building, or automation suppliers
- Contract packaging or industrial packaging
- Prototyping, product development, or engineering services
- Industrial B2B services with long sales cycles
- Capital equipment or manufacturing equipment sales
- Experience selling into material handling or infrastructure markets
- Background helping modernize sales processes or CRM usage
- Leadership runway for future growth
- Base salary approximately $100,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
- Variable compensation with meaningful upside tied to new business.
