• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations and make treatment decisions.
• Admit patients to the hospital for primary care physicians on need basis.
• Provide primary and consultative medical care to patients admitted to various units of the hospital with appropriate subspecialty consultation.
• Coordinate care of patients through appropriate collaboration with other physicians, nursing staff, case managers and ancillary service providers.
• Keep patients informed and give periodic updates as appropriate.
• Participate in hospital’s utilization management, risk management and performance improvement programs.

2 years of practice as a Hospitalist preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.

Current license issued by LA State Board of Medical Examiners.
