Job Profile SummaryThis role acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN will effectively delegate, direct and assist licensed and ancillary team members; assume accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions;
and maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and department strategic goals. The RN demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for their own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice;
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. - Preferred:
Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication; ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills; ability to be self‑directed.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
- Uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and interdisciplinary groups.
- Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources; serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Uses data, information and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improve nursing practice.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, introduction style and communication preferences.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
