This job provides security for patients, guests, and employees as assigned, enforces company policies and procedures, and performs duties that ensure the security of all in a courteous and professional manner.

EducationRequired
- High School diploma or equivalent
Required - 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military
CertificationsRequired
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Valid driver’s license in the state of practice and a clean DMV report
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training
International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire/promotion
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval
- Proficiency with Windows applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- This position is considered Team A Essential Personnel and must report in during disasters
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to walk the property, including outside and interior areas, using stairwells in an 11-floor plus structure
- Enforce all safety and security rules, regulations, and policies
- Conduct routine inspections of company locations
- Investigate accidents and incidents, report all occurrences promptly
- Perform opening/lockdown of buildings as approved by Administration and other duties
- Participate in emergency response and drills
- Maintain required certifications and complete training timely
- Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication styles
- Other duties as required
